Terms of Service

By accessing or using ScentWeave (“the Service”, “we”, “us”) you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 16 years old to use ScentWeave. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must notify us immediately at support@scentweave.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses caused by compromised credentials.

You may not create accounts by automated means, or create accounts for purposes of abuse or spam.

You may submit fragrance performance reports and other content (“User Content”). By submitting User Content you grant ScentWeave a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute it as part of the Service.

You warrant that your User Content:

• Is accurate to the best of your knowledge.
• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights.
• Does not contain illegal, harmful, or deceptive material.

We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms without notice.

ScentWeave includes AI-powered features including a fragrance stylist, DNA quiz, and layering tool. These are provided for informational and entertainment purposes only. Responses are generated by a large language model and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Do not rely on AI outputs for purchasing decisions without independent verification.

AI stylist conversations are subject to a daily fair-use limit per account to ensure service availability for all users.

You agree not to:

• Scrape, crawl, or automatically extract data from the Service.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise derive source code from the Service.
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or content designed to disrupt or damage the Service.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable law.

All content, design, trademarks, and software on ScentWeave — other than User Content — are owned by or licensed to ScentWeave. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute them without our prior written permission.

Fragrance names, brand names, and trademarks referenced on the platform belong to their respective owners and are used for informational purposes only. ScentWeave is not affiliated with any fragrance brand.

The Service integrates with third-party services including Groq (AI inference), PostHog (analytics, with consent), and Resend (email). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability. Fragrance data and community reports are user-generated and may not be accurate.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScentWeave shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the greater of €50 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct harmful to the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time by contacting support@scentweave.com. Upon termination, your personal data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Romania, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under applicable EU law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email where required by law.
